What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
I usually get a cup of coffee once I get to work. They have Starbucks here and an espresso machine. I like the Starbucks Sumatra but will take whatever's in the brew carafe.
During the weekend I often don't drink coffee in the morning at home, usually ice tea or juice.
What magazines do you subscribe to, and why?
I have a crazy amount of magazine subscriptions. Some I've been getting for many years some I just try out for a year or two and let them drop. I subscribe to a lot of these for inspiration and some to just pass the time and clutter up my home.

On our trip to NY we stopped at Dean and Deluca for some shopping fuel. I had a great ice green tea from teany and shared a chocolate cupcake with my bff since it was her birthday.
The chocolate cupcake was amazing. The cake was fork clinging moist and airy and the icing was smooth and dark like chocolate silk not granular at all. The granular butter cream hydrogenated frostings are usually why I scrape that shit off. But no this, this was just the right mouth feel of decadence and light. The peach green ice tea was also good and refreshing not too sweet, lots of flavor.
When we got home one of the goals was more. Seeing each other more, more trips and more cupcakes. Not that we needed more cupcakes ..no, we needed more. The tea, well that was easy to find the teany online site it's Moby's vegetarian cafe. Even Froogle told me where to order a case of them.
Now the cupcake and the location of its creator was another story. What? don't roll your eyes at me. So what I'm a crazy & should be dieting. First I checked the Dean and Deluca site but no they didn't sell them from that portal. So I emailed the "contact us" customer support to find out, I guess the quest was on.
So I get an email back from Jess at DnD saying it's from Two Little Red Hens Bakery and she would be glad to ship me some but they might not fair well in the shipping so I should try them first. I was encouraged that their website was not more than a business card. I had faith that they must be too busy baking to add photos and add to cart links. I call the Brooklyn shop and I get the most NY sounding guy asking me when I want them today or tomorrow. I ask if he ships because I'm calling from Boston and he says 'Nah, ya gotta get someone to come down and pick 'em up for ya.' Oh well.
So I call back Jess and she says she'll send me some but no guarantee on how they'll look when they get there. I'm like no problem. She says "They are the chocolate cupcakes with the flowers on them?" "No, there were no flowers, just chocolate icing" oh she says that must be from Crumbs. Now I went ahead and ordered them from her, not exactly sure whether they will be what we had, and I'm pretty certain absence made the heart fonder or mouth waterier. Even if they do get smashed by the overnight carrier, I know taking a bite gives you an automatic close-your-eyes reflex to focus the taste and smell senses, so no worries.
How cute were you as a baby/child? Let's see those baby pics!
Me, my mom and my sister is in the swim cap. I was about 5 or 6 years old I think. Being the youngest of 3, I don't have too many baby pics. So, Mothers out there with more than one child, keep up the photo enthusiasm for your 2nd and 3rd kids.
I love this album! I've been playing it a lot on my morning walks. I think I like it better... read more
